Some ideas for Oc...

Well I have a lot of ideas to add in Oc/mods that can be made.

Here they are:

-Add ventilope as a real ennemy when rided by soldier (not only in the north of Shamazaar) and as a flying Twon-Ha when the player ride it.

-To be able to take chief soldiers 's weapons (I don't think a rocket need essence to be launch...)

-some adjustements on human weapons (I don't think several capacity for clip of the simple gun is a very good idea...) I'm writing (in french, sorry) what i think on weapon...

-Maybe a chronometer or a indicator like for health can be add on the screen, just below health when you use invisibility or holograme...

-I think weapons and upgrades (all but hawk-mk8 upgrades) should be find on floor, garded by strongest soldiers.

-Maybe if there were less ammo on floor, the game would be a little more hard...

-Maybe the voxel engine can't do it, but a free cam would be better (I mean a camera who can do a 180° verticaly in first person view) And so, about this first person view, i note that i have never seen a game which can show the player body (only arms) : When in the real life you look th ground, you see your foot, so why not in games ? Like if the camera was in the head of Cutter...

Did you notice that when you walk in Ranzaar, your step stay in the snow? Well I don't think they are "decals" but a real time modification of... the height of the ground ("_a.btm)...

I use a little my brain, and what I imagine? (this is an hypothesis) The posibility to terraform [eek] (I don't know if it's the good word), to change the height of a rock with your boomer gun, a little like in Red Faction and is Geomod ! or rather a "vertical Geomod", I explain : Skemeth has shown how work the voxel engine and if when you walk in the snow the ground is lightely dug, why can't we dig it as we want? but only in the height, not in wall because walls are specially modelized.

It's just an hyppothesis so don't think that IS possible, but maybe that WOULD BE possible... [:)]

And for those who will say that it's useless, even if it is useless in game, it can be a "little realistic detail" when a dynamite explodes (where debris come from? from the ground, no?) or can be very interresting to show the destruction of Fae Rhan Palace...

Mhh, it is possible. I've played this game in which you could hide in the craters which were created by your grenades....
But I think you'll have to go dig in the engine itself... pretty tricky stuff!
