I know there has been alot of talk about using the Unreal II engine for a Mod, and I think that's a good idea, but when I saw Half-Life II in action, it was incredible. Valve also says it's shipping with more than just a map maker. They said it's more like a mod maker. [moder] Has anyone seen footage of the engine? It can process huge enviroments, perfect for an Outcast mod. If it ships with that mod maker tool, I WILL make a mod. Or at least try. [loll] First step: Hawk MK8 mod.

I don't know when it's coming out in Europe, but when I saw those HL2 movies in the store I asked the guy when it was coming out. He said November 2003. [cheer] Also, check out www.ebgames.com It says November 14th, 2003. Toshiro, have you seen that 3-legged alien that's atleast 50 feet tall? That's one of the movies. It shows that alien walking through a huge, incredibly detailed city, picking up men and throwing them around or stabbing them. If anyone has broadband, search for the movies on altavista or another search engine and download them. You won't be disappointed. The only problem I see is that the recommended requirements for the game are quite bad. [moder] Around a 2000mhz. with 512mb of ram and a decent 128mb card.

Ouch, I heard about that. It sucks for Valve and us. It will probably make it get released even later. [confused2] By the way, those are the recommended requirements. That's the kind of PC you need to run HL2 at it's fullest. The minimum requirements are a PIII 750mhz or equivalent, 128mb of Ram, and a decent 32mb card. I don't think it would run very good on a PC like that, though.

Well, It looks like Half-Life 2's release date will now be April 2004. Even though Valve hasn't confirmed this, I still don't have much hope. If I ever find those lameass hackers... BIFF! BAM! MINT! [loll] If anyone wants the latest news, go to www.halflifesource.com

You've got a point there. It could be a marketing strategy. The way I see it is that Valve knew that they were going to have to delay HL2 and this is the perfect excuse for them to "rewrite the coding" and take 6 more months to work on it. [gnak] Why can't they just be honest for a change? [moder]
