looking for 2d/3d artists

Postby Dr_Ompaa » 5 Feb 2006, 22:09

Hi everybody!

Some news from the oOC team:
We're currently working on the AI system of Open Outcast ... check out this screen

Image
THE CUTTER MODEL IS NOT FINAL! OUR MODELERS ARE WORKING ON AN ENTIRELY NEW MODEL RIGHT NOW [sm2]

The pink sticks are waypoints [:D]

Well ... the point is that we're looking for 2d/3d artists right now

Especially leveldesigners are highly welcome (you remember how big the regions were in OC, right? [nuts])

So if you can handle 3dsmax / Blender or want to create some nice textures or conceptual art feel free to contact us by mail: info@openoutcast.de

Nice! and happy to hear news from your mod :)

Currently we're creating the level meshes and adding textures with 3dsmax or Blender

Then entities and game logic stuff is added using Blender (There is some Crystalspace plugin for it) and the level is exported into Crystalspace Format (it's XML, so you can tweak the levels a bit with a texteditor)

Some real editor for the second task as standalone tool is planned ... but we won't start with it before summer since we want to code the most important features of the engine first (AI / combat system / etc)
