I tried to modify the AMD K6-2 450 64 RAM + .ini file and modify the resolution
but it didn't have any effect. I will backup the .ini files just tell me what to do
because I can only play the game in 512x384 now though my system can handle
a lot more

Xeon, I really don't think that OC can handle 800*600. It's quite unstable already at 640*480 so...

I really don't understand why people wanna hack Outcast so it'll run in 640*480 or something. Outcast *was* a lot better back in 1999 than most other games that ran in 1024 and up...

Well, how DO I hack Outcast to 640x480 resolution?
I've tried modify the OUTCAST.INI and Loader.ini files but it has no effect and changes back to 512 resolution when I run the game.

Thats because the OC engine (Gaia) simply isn't able to do high res.

And that's atonishing. I've found demo of voxel engine that work in high resolution like a polygon engine (1240x1024...) I wonder in oc engine where the limitation come from...

But for Oc in itself, is it the only thing players want ??? Can't you play in these "low" resolutions ? Well, in all fact if you could improve screen resolution, the HUD resolution would be the same as in 512 so you would have a little HUD in the corner of your screen and I don't think it would be nice to play with it...
