Outcast on fast machine

Hello everyone

I am new to Outcast. To my shame I really did not know this game until a few days ago. I instantly fell in love with it when playing, but I quickly came to a problem.

After buying one of these animals (Twon-Ha) in the first world, I just cannot ride it. I can sit on its back, I can sometimes jump but it DOES NOT MOVE/WALK. I have this GUI-thing (otherwise I think it would not let me sit on its back). It even follows me if I hold the GUI in my hand and walk in front of it.

I read somewhere that this happens on newer machines - I have an Athlon XP2800+.

Does someone know how to resolve this problem?

well, I had the same problem, and i had to complete the game without the twon-ha

i thnk that in the outcast subforum there is one topic about this problem, and the solution is to download that makes your cpu slower ONLY WITH THE GAME
i didn't do it, i believe it can cause many problems, but if you want to try... [cheer]

I think as well that problem occurs with XP no?

Yes, the problem is under XP.

Welcome to the boards.
I got the Twon-Ha to move sometimes by pressing forward and left or right and holding them for a few seconds.
Have you tried installing it in compatibility mode?
