Side Quest in Okasankaar

Hey i'm playing outcast again, and have just reached Okasankaar.

I have never managed to get 100% side quests and see the video without cheating, but i would really like to.

In Okasankaar there was always this quest i could never complete. There is this massive (Gorgor?) tooth in the Darosham, and i can never do anything with it, although i read somewhere that you can sell it to that guy in the prison, but that is never an option when i speak to him. Does anyone know how to do this quest? i think it is the only one i have never done.

i'm really sure i remember someone once saying that you can do it if you go to Zorkatraz sometime before or after you have done a certain quest, i had a feeling it was to do with Oru and Kyuran, for some reason. does no one remember?

Yes you can do it, I wrote a post about it long ago (fall 99 I think) on the french infogram Outcast forum. Unfortunately all the old posts there were lost.

If I remember well, it deals with the merchant in Okasankaar (Zafar ?). When he offers you to make a deal (sell a piece of information?), you have to reject it first. Then he tells you a story about Martigar, a man looking for his father and a gorgor tooth. After that he gives you the information anyway. After this bargain, you'll be able to achieve this quest by selling the gorgor tooth to Martigar, the man in the prison when you meet him. He wants to have it back because it was belonging to his late father, a gorgor hunter if I remember well...

Hey, it came back to me. During the discussion with Zafar the merchant, here is what they say if Cutter decline (cf the reply below in bold) Zafar bargain :

Cutter: Where is the place the booyats grow?

Zafar: I tell you for little zorkins?

Cutter: That much?

Zafar: This price is less for you. Sold same info to talan a few moons ago, something about his son in prison.

Cutter: No, I think I'll ask Zele. Maybe he'll know.

Zafar: Zele knows nothing about the Darosham! He is ... oh zort!

Cutter: Darosham, eh? Thanks pal.



After that discussion, if you see Martigar with the gorgor tooth, he will tell you about his father and the gorgor tooth. Sad story...
