Ok, confusion: Homeworld was released in 1999, and called Game of the Year. But isn't that the year Half-Life was released, or was that 1998?

Homeworld really rules, btw. There's also an x-pack and Homeworld 2 is being developed at the moment. u shouldn't hestitate buying them

yeah I know, Cataclysm. But I want to play Homeworld first, and then I'll see. One thing I didn't really like in Cataclysm (the demo anyway) is that the unit cap had been seriously decreased. In homeworld, you could have over 80 fighters, more than 20 frigates,... all coming up to a total of about 250 units (I think) you could build, and remember that those you capture don't count toward the cap. I've heard of a guy who had a fleet of 800 (!!!) ships.

But on the other hand, cataclysm has it's good points too, like that multibeam frigate unit. And the Dreadnought has got to be about the coolest ship I've ever seen...anywhere.

I like HomeWorld alot except when you kill everthing in the mission and then have to wait for your harvesters to take up everything. It also has a pretty good soundtrack. [moder]
