Outcast patch 3 installation problems

Hi guys,
I have a little problem installing outcast patch 3.
I have the original game and I just can't understand why.
I tried to pre-install the patch before the installation of the game, but every time i get this strange Error:

Unhandled exception
Error Number:0x80070725
Description:The version of RPC receipt is not compatible
Setup will now terminate.

Anyone knows what is the problem?
I will appreciate any help

Hi !
Why do you need the patch ? Did you encounter problems installing Outcast without it ?
Are you running on Win XP, 2000 ? Other ?
Do you have the CD or DVD version of Outcast ?

edit: O and btw; aren't you supposed to install the patch AFTER the game installation? [:/]

Sorry guys about posting this topic here. I just didn't knew. I am new here.
Regardless the version is CD and about installing before the game, I read it in this forum.I also tried to install after the game instalation but the same problem.
Anyone knows what are the corrections of Patch 3?

If it's just a problem of installation (the game doesn't istall correctly and disappear), patch 1 should be enough : install the game with it ...

Could you be more precise about your problems ? (and your operating system please) ...

I said what is my problem in my first post. My OS is windows 98 SE and I have problem installing the 3d patch. I don't know what it does but I think I must install it.
