I read some about bad selling rates in japan. I hope this will continue all over the world and microsoft stops their x-box program. Than there is only one choice left for appeal >: )

I don't think you need to blame Microsoft. Infogrames will do it in my mind

On the dutch game site GSX I read that Appeal is working on a new exclusive PS2 game. I don't really believe what they say but if it's true it will take a long time before OC2 is gumming. [snif]

Outcast 2 is both new and exclusive.
It's also being developed for the PS2

I don't believe the articel to, but GSX won't be so stupid to talk about OC2. And if you read the articel it looks like they have heard the news from Appeal, here's what they say: "Meer wilde de mensen van Appeal niet vrijgegeven" wich means something like "The people of appeal didn't want to tell us more" [?] . So maybe.... [:(]

Well, if OC2 is being cancelled, we still have HALO. (oh and Jedi Knight 2 of course, which does ROCK!!!)

Anyway, maybe Appeal didn't like the storyline too much and they want to change it a bit or something. Maybe this delay could prove to be a good thing!

Besides, if they cancel OC2, I'm gonna go to Appeal (in Namur, Belgium.) and ask them for an explanation. Hey, even I can be a charming guy, if I want to [moder] [loll] .

When in doubt, throw a grenade...

"oh and Jedi Knight 2 of course, which does ROCK!!!"

I think Jedi Knight 2 is boring, and sux...

But anyway read THIS!!

From http://www.computerandvideogames.com
"OUTCAST ON HOLD AS NEW LICENCE TAKES THE FRAME

Belgium-based Appeal has revealed that Outcast 2 development is on hold while it works on a new, big-license, PS2 title for publisher Infogrames
18:47 When news surfaced that Appeal had temporarily halted work on its PC and PS2 action-adventure sequel Outcast: The Lost Paradise because of "new development opportunities", we were straight on our hotline to find out just what was going on.

"Actually, Outcast: The Lost Paradise has been put on hold because we've had another opportunity with Infogrames to work on another title," Appeal co-founder Franck Sauer tells us. This new title is a PS2-only affair, and while Sauer refused to give us any names, he did tell us that it is a "license-based game".

Obviously this means that Outcast: The Lost Paradise is going to be delayed, but Appeal's time spent developing this new title for Infogrames could well work in favour for the Belgian team's pet project. Leaving The Lost Paradise to one side, Appeal will be able to concentrate on finishing the development of the tools and technology that it is currently working on, and these will then be implemented into the new Infogrames PS2 title. Once the PS2 title is complete, these finished tools and technology will be used for The Lost Paradise. According to Sauer, this will actually "...speed up the development of Outcast 2 which was slow due to the scope of the game.".

Sauer estimates that Appeal will be working on the new PS2 title for around a year, but simply answered, "I don't know", when asked about when we could expect to see Outcast: The Lost Paradise on the shelves. He did, however, let slip that the developer has a busy time ahead: "...we are also planning to start another team pretty soon that will work on another game that uses the same technology".

More when we have it.

What makes you think that Jedi Knight 2 sucks? It's one of the best Star Wars games EVER, IMHO. I'm still playing it, and I just got to the lightsaber part. I'm playing on Jedi Master mode and the game is VERY addictive even though I generally hate first person shooters. In any case, I think anyone who's biased against the Xbox or any console for that matter is just a moron. If you like a certain console, that's good, but you don't need to bash another console to justify your purchase. Turns out the postponement of Outcast 2 wasn't due to the Xbox anyway. I don't think we'll be seeing Outcast 2 for at least another 2-3 years which sucks, though.

If it is there in about 2-3 years, it is outdated when released, so i don't think so.

We are talking about Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast? I think thats is just anothert FPS-shooter with Star Wars Theme. Not good, nore bad, nothing really sux, but nothing is really special. -> Its boring -> It sux.

Ofcourse JK2 has the lightsaber which is acsually pretty cool and THE FORCE POWERS but the area where you really can use the force is way too limited.

I have played JK2 (http://www.lucasarts.com/products/outcast/) with my pc. Why do you assume i have something against consoles? Exept PS1/2 pad, i really hate it.
