Alright, this will actually be a kind of survey.
Question 1. What is your favourite song from the outcast soundtrack?
Question 2. Which songs would you alternatively use as the soundtrack? This doesn't have to be classical.

1) the part that looks like "planet of the apes" (like a manhunt, stg like that ... Don't remenber the trakh, but you can imagine ...)
2) Angelo Badalamenti could have done some extraordinary things for the game ... Otherwise, I'd like to say Clint Mansell ('cause he's terrific), but it's far away from the game in itself ...

(Imagine : "Mulholland drive" theme for the Outcast intro, or even the end, with Marion ... [y] )

On a different yet still related note: what do you think is the best game-soundtrack ever?

Overall, I'd say outcast, but the main theme from Morrowind is great, too, and most C&C games have a pretty good soundtrack (remember the hell march??).

Well don't have an order, but Oc (of course), Mafia (Cinematic and old radio musics), Giants, Total Annihilation, Deus Ex, Heart Of Darkness, and yes Red Alert...

Max Payne's theme is also quite good (Melody of other ingame musics aren't very typical), Duke Nukem's Theme too (but in Midi)
In an other game with Midi music, I love Dune 2 ones (A Westwood game, like C&C...)

There is also Worms' theme which is quite funny...

Yup, they do. But Ensemble Studios makes up with the soundtrack of Age of Mythology (aka age of empires 3...)
